Climate is escalating fire. Ecosystems are in decline.

Climate change is driving large increases in fire extent, frequency and severity across Victoria. Over half of the state's vegetation is already below reproductive capacity — burnt too often, or too recently, to recover before the next fire arrives.

So: which fuel-management strategies actually protect ecosystems under future fire?
